2024 Baseball (COED) & Softball

East Valley Youth Baseball is a volunteer based organization that provides an organized, community-based league for children living in the area (ages 5-14). We strive to foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development in a fun and inclusive environment. We are excited you have decided to register your child for baseball or softball this season!

⚾️ Our program runs on volunteers & we need you! All families will be required to work on shift at the concession stand. Sign-up to be a Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Manager or Volunteer by emailing us at [email protected] ⚾️

Important things to note about our league–

– Early Bird Discount registration fee runs until February 29, 2024. Prices will increase March 1, 2024. Registration closes March 5 .

– T-ball(ages 5-6) and Coach Pitch(7-8) players will not be evaluated. Team assignments will be given closer to the start of the season. Registration closes March 5, 2024.

– Minors & Majors (ages 9-12) players will be evaluated during a tryout. Registration closes March 5th (minors) and March 6 (majors).

Minors(ages 9-10) tryouts: March 6, 2024 5-6:30pm @ DBat Yakima (1015 E Lincoln Ave Yakima, 98901)

Majors(ages 11-12) tryouts : March 6, 2024 6:30-8pm @ DBat Yakima (1015 E Lincoln Ave Yakima, 98901)

Juniors(ages 12-14)– TBD. More of a summer (June) program

>>If you would like to request that your child plays down one year (ex: Your child is 7, but you'd like them to play T-ball), please submit a Play Down Form to [email protected].

>>If you would like to request that your child plays up one year (ex: Your child is 6, but you'd like them to play Coach Pitch), please submit a Play Up Form to [email protected].

– Practices will begin mid/late March.

–NEW THIS YEAR! Field Clean Up & Prep will be March 23, 2024 @ 10:00. Lunch will be served as a thank you. All teams are invited. The more help, the quicker the work.

– Opening Day Jamboree is April 13, 2024 beginning at 8:30am.

Festivities to open the season include a parade, pancake feed, team pictures and all teams will play one game.

– Players are required to participate in our annual pop fundraiser. The funds raised from selling are essential in helping us maintain our fields and equipment. The fundraiser is not optional. You will have the option to buy out of the pop fundraiser if you plan not to sell pop. The buyout fee is $50/player. Please select this option at checkout during registration if you would like to buy out of the pop fundraiser.

– EVYB does not want to turn away any kids that want to play simply because families can't afford to pay for the cost associated with registration. Please be sure to check out the T-Mobile Grant linked on our website. Another option is at checkout, you will have the option of sponsoring a player with a donation. We encourage all families to do what they can to pay the gift of baseball forward.
